Colors Continued!

We are continuing on with colors for March! It was hard picking a color for this week.  Perhaps, not so much, it all depends on perspective.

This week I am picking the color red, off to see what I can find about red in Wikipedia.

Red is the color of blood, rubies and strawberries.[3][4] It is the color of the wavelength of light from approximately 620–740 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum.[2] Next to orange at the end of the visible spectrum, red is commonly associated with danger, sacrifice, passion, fire, beauty, blood, anger, Christmas, socialism, communism, and in China and many other cultures, with happiness.[5]

As you can see, red is all over the place in what it means to people.  Even breaking it down to what it means to people in different countries.  The RED of STOP, to the RED of passion, to the RED of peppers, to oh so many ideas and factors that can be taken into account.

So to pick a few items from the stores, my first would be the following a red arm band that you can use for your iPod.  It’s got a very long title in it, but the function I can imagine would be wonderful.  Not having to worry about a pocket on where to put your iPod so that you can listen to music on the go, a walk in the park, or jogging around the track are two things that come to mind. Okay, so speaking of walking, my fingers are going to the sterling silver shop to see what they can find in red there.

Okay, I found something there, a pendant that is garnet in color.  It reminds me of  a rich deep red color, that would change in whatever light that you had it in, the garnet, depending on the lighting of course could look black.  If you want to see what I am looking at you can click here.  GARNET

Now, I never thought that trying the color would be hard in finding objects in the stores.  Like maybe a red watch band, I am sure that there are some out there and I did find a watch band that did have some red in it.  Of all things, it is a “Heart Rate” watch by Polar.  It is a useful item for:

FT7 Heart Rate Monitor

The FT7 heart rate monitor is an essential tool for those who want to lose weight and improve their fitness. Its easy-to-use Smart Coaching features such as EnergyPointer and Smart Calories will guide and motivate you so every workout counts.

Okay, so red is a pretty cool color for this sort of device and it does go both ways, from a red stripe to a red band you just have to make your choice
